Owned and operated by the City of Boise, the airport
provides a full range of commercial and general aviation services and
facilities for Boise and southwestern Idaho. In addition, it serves the
124th Tactical Reconnaissance Group and the 116th Air Cavalry Troop units
of the Idaho Air and Army National Guard. The master plan provides for an
ultimate wide-spaced parallel runway, new facilities to meet air cargo
needs, and a new terminal. The update includes 3DAAP analysis, a three
dimensional analysis of 10,000 acres in the runway approaches for airspace
protection and potential obstruction analysis.
