Branson Airport, LLC, a development partnership, is
in the process of developing a privately-funded commercial service airport
to serve the Branson/Tri-Lakes area.Ê The airport would be constructed on a
site currently owned within the partnership and would be planned and
designed to serve scheduled and charter airlines as well as corporate
aircraft.Ê The airport is planned to include an all-weather runway,
passenger terminal building, air traffic tower and other safety and
security features typical of an airport certified to handle commercial
airline service.Ê An environmental analysis was prepared for the proposed
Branson Airport.Ê Formal NEPA documentation was not required during the
initial stages of the project; however, it was decided that a NEPA-like
document should be prepared in order to address environmental concerns in
the area including water quality and a number of cultural resource sites.
