  • East Texas Regional Airport

East Texas Regional Airport is a primary commercial service airport with nearly 30,000 annual boardings and more than 100,000 annual aircraft operations. The airport is home to LeTourneau University’s aviation training facility and several corporate flight departments.  Primary Runway 13-31 is 10,000 feet long which allows the airport to accommodate airline diversions and the military for training operations.  East Texas Regional Airport has dedicated a sizeable tract of land for commercial and industrial development including the delineation of a foreign trade zone (FTZ). The master plan concept included the expansion of commercial service terminal facilities including a realigned airport entrance road, enlarged terminal building, and additional parking facilities for public and rental car uses.  Improvements to runway safety area deficiencies and noted “hot spots” were planned to improve safety and efficiency.  The development plan also included redevelopment of surplus land into revenue-producing leaseholds, additional general aviation facilities, air cargo facilities, and other revenue-producing leaseholds.
