Located in central Iowa, Fort Dodge Regional Airport
is a primary commercial service airport with commuter airline service. The
airport provides two runways with Runway 6-24 the longest at 6,400 feet.
The airport master plan included the extension of the crosswind runway to
5,300 feet to better serve the commuter airline, expansion of the terminal
building and parking lot, development of a new general aviation terminal
area, and the layout of three industrial/commercial development sites. The
plan will aid the City in diversifying airport revenues ultimately leading
to the financial independence of the airport.
