The Williams Gateway Airport is located in one of the most
rapidly developing areas in the Phoenix Metropolitan area. The Noise Compatibility
Study evaluated and recommended refinements to the airports existing Fly
Friendly Program. In addition, helicopter routing procedures were also
established for noise abatement. Land use planning recommendations included
adopting development review and building code guidelines, general plan
amendments, and airport overlay zoning. A public education program was
also completed during the course of the study to inform the public of the
airport's efforts.
