A former military facility, the Half Moon Bay Airport is
located north of the City of Half Moon Bay, between the Pacific Ocean and
the Santa Cruz Mountains. The Half Moon Bay Airport supports a large volume
of training operations and is used by many tourists visiting nearby Princeton-by-the-Sea
and the Moss Beach area. The Master Plan provides for the removal of displaced
thresholds, a new parallel taxiway, new landside facilities, and the development
of a GPS instrument approach.
