  • Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport

This airport serves the resort community of Laughlin, Nevada and the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Major airport improvements in the 1980s and rapid urban development have caused significant increases in airport activity. While Bullhead City is growing rapidly, much of the land in the airport vicinity remains undeveloped. The Part 150 Study concentrated on land use planning and regulation to promote compatible development in the airport environs. The major tool in accomplishing this is airport compatibility overlay zoning and related regulations.
