Coffman Associates is in the process of preparing an
environmental assessment for the 1,000 foot extension of Runway 17-35 at
Mount Pleasant Regional Airport. The airport is located just south of
the Town of Mount Pleasant in Texas. Field surveys undertaken for the
project include wetland, biological and cultural resource surveys.
Extensive agency coordination was required due to the numerous
cultural resources in the airport environs as well as impacts to a
designated water of the U.S.
