Eppley Airfield has recently experienced a
significant change in activity with a mini-hub and a low-fare airline. In
addition, air cargo activity continues rapid growth. The study was
conducted as an update to the 1991 Master Plan, which was also prepared by
Coffman Associates. The plan protects the long range viability of the
airport, and includes provisions for the ultimate upgrade of a general
aviation parallel runway for commercial service use, the development of a
second passenger terminal, and expansion of air cargo facilities.
