This county-owned airport is surrounded by to the City of Oxnard
on three sides. The Noise Compatibility Study recommended that aircraft
be routed over the only available corridor to the east until reaching the
ocean prior to turning on course. The Study recommended that residential
development within the 65 and 70 CNEL noise contours be purchased. In addition,
the Study also included land use recommendations to preserve the current
noise compatible corridor from the Airport to the ocean.
