Palm Springs International Airport is a repeat client
of Coffman Associates. The firm was first selected to prepare a Part 150
Noise Compatibility Study in the 1980s. In the 1990s, our firm was again
selected to update both the Master Plan and Part 150 Study. In 2000,
Coffman Associates was retained once again to update the Master Plan.
Coffman Associates has been involved in establishing
a noise program that has included a successful noise wall and berm, in
addition to property acquisition and sound insulation. The Master Plans
have led to a runway extension to 10,000 feet, a major terminal upgrade,
and recommendations for productive aviation and revenue-producing uses of
the airport’s landside properties.
