The Phoenix Deer Valley Airport is consistently one of the top two or
three busiest general aviation airports in the country every year. As a
result the Airport Master Plan focused on capacity and safety
improvements. The recommended development concept provided for
extension of the shorter parallel runway as well as several taxiway
improvements in order to improve capacity. In addition, several
alternatives were presented to address the existing nonstandard runway
safety area. Landside development recommended separating business jet
activity to the south of the runway and locating smaller aircraft to
the north of the runway thus improving airport efficiency. The ALP set
was provided in a GIS ready format for ease of use by the client.
