Aircraft training conducted by Embry Riddle
Aeronautical University contributes to Ernest A. Love Field's rank as the
second busiest airport in Arizona. Served by daily air cargo and commercial
airline service, the airport is also home to a U.S. Forest Service air
tanker base. The Master Plan has recom mended additional capacity
enhancements to accommodate multi-engine training aircraft. A new terminal
was recommended to replace the existing 50-year old building. An extension
of the primary runway was recommended to better serve business jet
