The Shreveport Airport Authority initiated a study in
late 1997 to update the airport's long-range plan for facility development.
The airport has experienced recent growth in passenger activity with the
introduction of gaming to the area and cargo activity has tripled during
the 1990's. The airport has recently initiated a terminal renovation project
which will affect the future use and layout of the terminal facility. The
plan calls for relocation of all cargo facilities to allow for expansion
and segregation of activities.
