Sierra Vista Municipal Airport, a joint-use facility, is
located on Libby Army Airfield, part of the Fort Huachuca Military Reservation.
Civilian aircraft operations are attributed to both general aviation and
air passenger activities. Recommended plans included the development of
additional taxiways to provide better access to the airfield, the development
of additional hangars and shade structures, the development of an air/industrial
park to provide for the airport's financial self-sufficiency, and expanded
support facilities.
