Located in the far southwest corner of Arizona, Yuma International
Airport operates under a joint-use patent with the Marine Corps Air Station.
With the longest runway in the state, the Master Plan gave specific attention
to complementary facilities for non-stop cargo flights to Asia and the
Pacific Rim. With a new commercial terminal building in place, the Master
Plan examined redevelopment of general aviation areas, reserving an area
for a future international terminal building, and identifying future property
requirements for compatibility and long-term growth.
