  • Buckeye Municipal Airport

The Town of Buckeye is located along Interstate Highway 10 in the southwestern portion of the Phoenix Metropolitan Area in Maricopa County, Arizona.  The Town of Buckeye is poised for substantial growth.  By 2025, over 345,000 residents are expected in the Town of Buckeye which now only totals 14,000 residents.  The Buckeye Municipal Airport Master Plan was developed with this growth mind and proposes a plan to increase capacity to meet long term facility needs.  The Airport Master Plan includes a 3,200-foot extension to the primary runway to accommodate business and corporate aircraft needs.  A parallel runway is planned to segregate larger corporate aircraft and smaller training and recreational general aviation activity.  A terminal area was designed that provides for the demands of very light jets providing air taxi services.  Finally, the on-airport land use plan provided for significant revenue enhancement possibilities by providing for non-airfield access revenue parcels along the busy Palo Verde Road corridor.
